Role: Creative Producer at Fast
Talk about your background leading up to Fast.
I picked up photography and videography probably around four-and-a-half years ago. I was doing it just for fun, and my friends would say, “Hey, can you record a video for my clothing brand?” or, “Can you record a video for my flower business on Instagram?” So I was recording media and posting them on Instagram, and eventually, people started reaching out to me asking me to make media for their business.
And then I decided it was a good idea to join a few video production companies as a contractor. After about a year, I decided to start freelancing. Eventually, Domm (Holland, Co-Founder and CEO of Fast) DM’d me on Instagram and said, “Hey, I’m starting this new company, and I need a videographer.”
What about Fast made you say yes to joining?
Domm asked me these questions: “Do you use passwords?” I said yes. “When was the last time you forgot your password and had to reset it?” I said like two days ago. And he said, “At Fast, we are going to solve it so that you don’t need to reset your passwords anymore.”
Where did you grow up, and what were you like as a kid?
I grew up in Baranavichy, Belarus. It's a country in Eastern Europe, and I just liked to hang a lot outside with my friends and watch TV. One interesting thing that stands out is that I would watch a movie on the TV, and I would take my grandma's cell phone and record videos. And I would try to record the remake of that movie with my friends.
