Why did you join Fast?
I found Fast after reading an article on LinkedIn, and I was captivated by what they were trying to accomplish. I met with some of the greatest folks at Fast, and they had nothing but great things to say. It was all magic from there.
What were you doing before?
Before joining Fast, I ran my own web development firm, which ended due to the pandemic. I wanted to start something new, so I worked at Shopify for seven months before finding Fast.
Where did you grow up, and what were you like as a kid?
I grew up in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada, an urban suburb about 30 minutes away from the heart of downtown Vancouver. I still live here!
I remember being (very) loud and outgoing. I was a part of all the clubs at school – leadership, district leadership, school newspaper, student council, the list goes on – and loved helping people. It was one of the things I was brought up on in my adolescent and teen years. I’m fairly extroverted, but definitely have some introverted traits.
What food do you uncontrollably eat?
What's your productivity hack?
Music – a mixed playlist of classic hip-hop, R&B, and Afrobeats; Slack notifications paused; and uninterrupted focus time.
Living or dead, who would you like to interview and why?
Steve Jobs: He was met with so many barriers in his life, but he still became the co-founder and CEO of one of the world’s most valuable companies.
Rosa Parks: I would love to learn more about her experiences and thoughts about racism and inequality still alive today.
What was the last show you binge watched?
What is your top travel destination?
I would love to visit my home country of Fiji. It’s a gorgeous place, and it almost feels like a crime that I haven’t been there yet. Australia is a close second.
Where do you see yourself a year from now?
I see myself living my dream of moving to Australia, continuing to work at Fast, and being happy in both my life and work.
