Meet Nico Santos: The Fast Interview

Nico Santos, Account Executive at Fast

Nico Santos

Role: Account Executive

Team: Sales

Why did you join Fast?

I love working at startups and building in the early stages. I love Fast and the direction it’s going with product and excited to bring it to market.

What were you doing before?

I’ve had a non-traditional career path. I have worked in retail selling handbags, ran a wholesale agency and a photography studio too. I have now worked in the tech space for three years, specifically selling in the e-commerce space, and I absolutely love it.

Where did you grow up, and what were you like as a kid?

I grew up in Huntington Beach, California. I was always happy-go-lucky, adventurous, and curious. I read a ton as a kid and had an art room as well, which inspired me to travel the world and to always be creating.

What accomplishment are you most proud of?

Being the first in my family to graduate from college and setting an example for my younger brothers.

What’s your productivity hack?

Yoga and meditation in the morning. It grounds me and sets me in the right mindset for work.

When did someone’s kindness toward you make a big difference in your life?

When I was a kid there was a neighbor who brought groceries over for our family in a time of need. It made a huge impact, and I told myself that as an adult I would give back when I could and would want to inspire others to give back too. You just never know how a small act of kindness can change someone’s world in a minute.

Living or dead, who would you like to interview and why?

My family in Cuba and all of my family members who have fled Cuba over the years. I have a lot of respect for my family, and I want to create a memoir of their amazing lives and survival stories.

What’s your top travel destination?

I've traveled all over the world, so it's hard to pick just one place. I love Thailand, South Africa, and Australia! My favorite surf spot is Biarritz, France.

Where do you see yourself a year from now?

Helping build Fast with the team and seeing what we can accomplish together! Another personal goal of mine is to get my scuba diving certificate this year and start traveling again!
