Role: General Counsel
Why did you join Fast?
Fast is tackling a wide-scale problem that is simple but not easy, and that’s what makes it such a great opportunity. Plus, it’s a fun place to work!
What were you doing before?
Struggling to fill out all these random forms on the internet. Professionally, I was also in-house counsel at a few tech companies, and earlier in my career I was a federal prosecutor.
Where did you grow up, and what were you like as a kid?
I grew up in New York, went to school in North Carolina, and spent about a decade in California.
When I was 5 years old, I wanted to be a brain surgeon and I had a poster of the human brain on my bedroom wall. At some point I replaced the brain poster with a Michael Jordan poster, but I still remember some of those brain parts.
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
Doing stand-up comedy for six months. It was much harder than arguing a case in federal court.
What’s your productivity hack?
Three iced coffees a day.
When did someone’s kindness toward you make a big difference in your life?
Too many times to mention. I’ve been lucky and try to pay it forward.
Who’s your celebrity doppelgänger?
Luis Suarez, the Uruguayan footballer.
Living or dead, who would you like to interview and why?
Nikola Tesla in 1900, so that I can tell him about Dogecoin and see how history unfolds.
What’s your top travel destination?
Mars, but only if it’s a round-trip ticket.
Where do you see yourself a year from now?
One lesson I’ve learned from 2020 is that a lot can happen in a year. But hopefully Fast is solving one-click checkout – and more – for a huge and growing base of satisfied buyers and sellers, and I’m still an excited passenger on this rocket ship.
