Step 1: Install Fast Plugin

Install Fast Checkout for WooCommerce Plugin for the First Time

WordPress Admin Access Required

You must have WordPress admin access to to install and remove plugins.

  1. Log in to the admin dashboard of your WordPress site.

    The url for this is usually https://yourwebsite.com/wp-admin

  2. Click Plugins -> Add New in the left sidebar of your WordPress admin dashboard to visit the WordPress plugin directory.

  3. Search for "Fast Checkout" or "Fast Checkout for WooCommerce" in the plugin directory.

  4. Click Install Now to install the Fast Checkout for WooCommerce plugin from the plugin directory.
  5. Click Activate. Essentially this turns the plugin code functionality "on."

TIP: Managing Plugin Updates

When you make plugin changes (e.g. updates, removals, etc.) you may need to manually turn test mode off again. Navigate to Fast Checkout settings. Scroll to the bottom and ensure "Enable test mode" is unchecked.

TIP: Troubleshooting Plugin Issues

You can deactivate plugins to troubleshoot website issues. Slowly deactivate them one-by-one, each time checking to see if the issue persists. If deactivating a plugin resolves the issue, visit the plugin's changelog or website for relevant updates. Also ensure all of your plugins are always up-to-date.

Migrating a Manually Installed Plugin Version to WordPress Plugin Directory Version

If you currently have a manually-installed version of the plugin (e.g. a pre-release version installed by the Fast Customer Success Team prior to the official 1.0 release of Fast Checkout for WooCommerce in the WordPress plugin directory), please visit the Migrating Fast to New Plugin Directory Version (for Early Sellers) page for plugin migration instructions.

Connect Your Fast App ID to the Fast Checkout Plugin

  1. Log in to the admin dashboard of your WordPress site. (If you are currently logged in, keep the current tab open)

  2. In a separate window go to the the "Install" tab of the Fast Seller Dashboard and copy the Fast App ID (app_id) to your clipboard.

  3. Close the current Fast Dashboard window and return to the WordPress admin dashboard window.
  4. Because you have previously installed and activated the Fast plugin, you should see "Fast" in the left sidebar of your WordPress admin dashboard.

  5. Go back to the WooCommerce store window and paste the Fast App ID into the textbox, then click Save Changes.
