Install Step 2: Setting Up Theme Files

Create theme files

  1. Copy and save your Fast App ID.

    The Fast App ID (app_id) can be found in the Install section of your Fast Seller Dashboard. You can also retrieve your Sandbox App ID from the Sandbox Seller Dashboard.

  2. Log in to your BigCommerce store at https://login.bigcommerce.com/login.
  3. On the sidebar click Storefront > My Theme.

  4. Under Current Theme click Advanced > Make a copy.

  5. Type in the name of your copy and click Save a Copy.
    This copy is specifically to have as a backup. You can name it whatever you want (e.g. "My Backup copy").

  6. Under My Themes, under the copy you made, click ...(ellipses) > Apply.

  7. Click the style that you selected for your store’s theme. Then click Continue.

Confirm that the copy you just made is active

  • To do this, confirm that the name of your backup copy is listed under Current Theme.

    • It might also have a word like "light" or "warm."

Edit your theme files

  1. Under Current Theme, click Advanced > Edit Theme Files.

    You might get a warning pop-up. Click Edit theme files if you want to continue.
